If you want to ride on dirt trails or single track through the woods, we’re going to recommend a mountain bike. It doesn’t do anything else very well, but it’s great for riding the trails. Mountain bikes have large diameter tires that offers excellent traction, and disc brakes that are the best for stopping in all weather conditions and terrians. Mountain bikes have a suspension fork that is used to keep the bike in control and adds more comfort to your ride. These bikes also have a broader range of gearing to accommodate steeper climbs or drastic terrain changes. Another type of mountain bike is the single gear dirt jumper. This is for individuals who like to ride at local skate parks or dirt jumps. Definitely for those who like to go on the wild side! |
